David Marks is a Los Angeles-based editor who cut the
Sundance favorites The Last Black Man in San Francisco for A24
and The Night House for Searchlight Pictures. His latest feature,
Charlie McDowell's drama Windfall, was acquired by Netflix in
an eight-figure deal.
David has worked in the cutting rooms of directors such as
Gus Van Sant, Ridley Scott, James L. Brooks and Michael Bay.
He learned the craft by working under editors including
Pietro Scalia (Gladiator), Kevin Tent (Election), Richard Marks
(The Godfather Part II) and Anne V. Coates (Lawrence of Arabia).

David grew up in Utica, NY and studied filmmaking
at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
